I'm not a tech person. Is this hard to use?
No. Sending an invoice is a short form: who it's for, what you did, and the price. Press Send and you're done. If you'd like help, schedule a free demo and we'll set up your first invoice together.
Does the AI send anything without my OK?
Only if you tell it to. Automatic reminders stay off until you switch on Autopilot, and you can switch it off any time. You can also send one reminder at a time with a single click. Messages about overdue balances and payment plans are drafted for you to read and approve before anything goes out.
Who do the emails come from? Will my customers know?
Every invoice and reminder shows your business name, and when a customer replies, it goes to your email. The emails are short, polite and professional, the same kind of note you'd write yourself.
What does it cost to get paid online?
Card and bank processing is passed through at Stripe's rates, plus CollectIQ's 2%. On a $1,000 invoice you receive about $965.75 if your customer pays by bank, or about $941.45 by card. Your dashboard shows the estimate before you press Send.
Straight to your business bank account through Stripe, the payment company used by millions of businesses. CollectIQ never holds your money.
Do I still need QuickBooks or another invoicing app?
Not to send invoices and get paid. CollectIQ does that. Many owners keep their accounting software for bookkeeping and taxes, and CollectIQ can connect to QuickBooks and Xero to follow up on invoices you've already sent from there.
Is CollectIQ compliant with B2B collections regulations?
CollectIQ is designed for B2B collections, which operates under different regulations than consumer debt. Every message CollectIQ sends is logged with the date and time. We recommend your legal team review outreach templates before activating automated sending. Enterprise plans include full compliance customization.
How does CollectIQ decide who to follow up with first?
Each customer gets a score from 0 to 100 based on how late they are, how much they owe, and how they have paid before. Higher scores mean a payment is more likely. Your list sorts itself, so you always know where to look first.
Which accounting software does CollectIQ work with?
Every plan can create invoices in CollectIQ and upload a spreadsheet (CSV) of invoices you already have. Growth and Enterprise also connect to QuickBooks Online and Xero. Other systems, such as NetSuite, are available as custom connections on Enterprise. All integrations sync via OAuth — no credentials stored.
Can the emails come from my own email address?
Every invoice and reminder shows your business name, and replies go straight to your own inbox. If you'd like emails sent from your own domain (for example billing@yourcompany.com), ask us about Enterprise.
How long does onboarding take?
Most teams are live within 24 hours. CSV import takes minutes. ERP integrations typically take 30–60 minutes including field mapping. Growth and Enterprise customers receive a dedicated onboarding call to configure templates, scoring thresholds, and automation rules.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. Every plan starts with a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. You only add payment details if you decide to continue after seeing what it recovers.
Is CollectIQ a collection agency?
No — and that's the point. Collection agencies take 25–40% of what they recover and burn your customer relationships. CollectIQ is software you own: outreach goes out under your name, in your voice, and our fee is 2% of what gets paid through CollectIQ. Nothing is charged on invoices that never get paid.
Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. Cancel in two clicks from your dashboard — though founding-rate pricing is only guaranteed while your subscription stays active.
